Connect Microsoft OUTLOOK for MAC (version 16.25) to your SetupCase Subscription

Outlook is a great industry standard appliation. Our Email subscription works great with Microsoft Outlook







# 1 > Download and get started

Purchase outlook by subscribing to Microsoft Office 365

BUSINESS EDITION

PERSONAL EDITION

Download and install on your computer per the instructions given by Microsoft





# 2 > Enter your email

After you get through into getting started screens
-> You will now be given a screen where you can type in your email address

NOTE: You need to setup your email in your control panel BEFORE this will work





# 3 > Manual install

We are going to do a manual install
-> click 'choose the provider





# 4 > Choose IMAP

Click 'IMAP/POP'

We will be setting up with IMAP only however and NOT POP





# 5 > Add information

Now you can add the information that is available from your SETUPCASE control panel OR was emailed to you when you signed up

You can create new emails in your control panel (Follow the help from the FAQ's available from our website - Support)

TYPE: Set to IMAP (RECOMMENDED) 
-> IMPORTANT: POP is not recommended since it does NOT allow you to sync email between your various devices

EMAIL ADDRESS: Enter your email address

USERNAME: Enter your email address

PASSWORD: Enter the password that was setup for you - you can reset passwords through the control panel

INCOMING SERVER: Follow the information that was provided by us. 

SSL: We recommend you use SSL, this means your email will be encrypted and protects you when in a public location

PORT (incoming): Set to 993

OUTGOING SERVER: Follow the information that was provided by us. 

SSL: We recommend you use SSL, this means your email will be encrypted and protects you when in a public location

PORT (outgoing): Set to 587

ADD ACCOUNT: when you are done click 'ADD account' to test the settings





# 6 > SUCCESS

You will now see a success screen

CLICK DONE 

OR - you can add other email accounts. Outlook allows you to manage multiple email accounts on your computer 





# 7 > READY TO GO

You have now successfully connected OUTLOOK to your SetupCase subscription 

 





# 8 > SYNC SENT FOLDER

In order to ensure your Sent messages are the same accross all your devices (Desktop, Mobile, Tablet Webmail)
-> We are going to set OUTLOOK to use 'Sent' as the sent folder

-RIGHT CLICK on the Email address on the left bar
-Click on Account Settings
-Click on Advanced bottom right corner (new window that appeared)
-Click Folders
-Change the dropdown 'Sent' to be 'Sent' (ensure you chose sent on SERVER)

Click OK to confirm
